After six months of intense work, our team of engineers and consultants has finished detailed “feasibility studies” covering topography, hydrology, geotechnical, environmental/social, engineering design, and economic analysis. The study was conducted for our two sites, which combined will bring a total of over 9 MW of electricity onto the national grid. The average annual power production from these two sites is 47.5 GW-hr, which is almost 20% of the total electricity consumed in Burundi (243 GW-hr in 2010).
