On 29 July 2016 the 2nd Vice President of Burundi, Dr. Joseph Butore, participated in the official groundbreaking for the vocational skills training school that we are building at the site of our hydroelectric plant in Ryansoro Commune (Gitega) in Burundi. Before joining the community to lay bricks and finish the concrete floors, we took the occasion to visit the nearby site where Songa Energy will build a 1 MW hydroelectric plant over the coming 16 months. Dr. Butore shared his enthusiasm and support for the school and the hydroelectric project, and he encouraged other American investors to come and invest in Burundi.
