Songa Energy’s vision for Burundi is that it has a growing and vibrant economy, which is accessible by all Burundians – especially the rural entrepreneurs who work primarily in agriculture. Access to electricity is a critical prerequisite for this vision to become reality. We agree with this video and its thesis that poverty is a result of exclusion from networks of productivity and exchange. Poor people are not stupid, they are just disconnected from these global networks of trade.
